East of the Shire

A visit back to my home turf and an opportunity to capture the wonderful Yorkshire Wolds.

The Yorkshire Wolds stretch  from the charming market town of Beverley to the town of Hessle on the banks of the Humber.  There are walks a plenty, David Hockney trails and cycling routes to be explored.

During this trip I was lucky enough to attend a very good friends wedding at Weaverthorpe Church  and to walk my hound on Fraisthorpe beach.

The great Gower get-a-way!

I would totally recommend a visit to Gower. Beautiful sights, surf filled beaches and sun kissed sunsets. We visited during the rainy season of 2008, however, that rain just added to the atmosphere and beauty of the Welsh countryside!

Beach scenes from Newquay

The beach is one of my favourite places to go and chill, reflect & generally get lost in the waves! These photos were taken on Fistral Beach in Newquay
I wanted to try and capture the surf scene and the relaxed evening vibe. Day tourists have deserted the beach for the day leaving the sea free for the experienced surfers and amazing sunsets!
